Hematopathology Case

 

CLINICAL INFORMATION

  A 37-year-old African-American male was at the end stage of AIDS with a CD4 cell count of 7 and an HIV viral load of 2860. He presented with small intestine obstruction and right para-midline herniation containing multiple loops of ascending and transverse colon. Multiple mesenteric lymphadenopathy was noted with the largest one 2.0 cm. He died 16 days after admission.
