Case 76 - Discussion

Hematopathology Case

Diagnosis: classic Hodgkin lymphoma

Comment: so excited to see many classic RS cells on one slide. Not sure about the subtype, MC vs. NS. The capsule of the lymph node is thin and there is no well-circumscribed sclerotic nodule although focal poorly defined fibrosis is present. The tumor cells are mostly scattered in a mixed background with lymphocytes and eosinophils, and focally the tumor cells are in sheets within a hyalinized fibrotic background.
