Hematopathology Case

CLINICAL INFORMATION

 

A 50-year-old African American male had symptoms of leg cramps and weakness for 2 weeks with nausea and vomiting, clear cough and chills, but no fever. Physical examination showed diffuse abdominal tenderness, hepatomegaly, and no lymphadenopathy. Serum chemistry studies revealed: sodium 130, potassium 5.5, chloride 95, bicarbonate 23, BUN 67, creatinine 11.3, calcium: 15.3
